Neus Ferri presents his new album, ‘Llar’, released on January 21st with 8 songs, most of them songs in Valencian language. ‘Llar’ takes an introspective journey to the particular universe of Neus Ferri and it is at the same time an emotional return to her origins in terms of the theme as it shows a stylistic evolution towards a personal and intense sound. Neus Ferri’s voice has been cradled on this album by arrangements designed to enhance her voice and her message.
The release of ‘Llar‘ has been preceded by two advance singles, ‘Au’ and ‘Llar’, two very significant songs from Neus Ferri’s new work that have been presented separately. The second single from this new album is the one that gives its name to the album and is accompanied by a video recorded live at the Plaça de Dins, a popular square in Alcoi. her hometown.
Regarding her new work, Neus has explained: “Llar” is without any doubt the most intimate album I have released so far. I have spent more or less over two years composing freely, without no idea nor any concrete form, and what has emerged from the inside has been me singing to my important things and people. In ‘Llar’ I sing to my family, to those who have been before and to those who will come, to love, to hope, to mourning, to human behavior and to life. It is a heartfelt album and above all it is a homeward bound, both for what it takes emotionally regarded that it is written and sung in my native language, and for the self-validation that the entire process has meant for me. “I recognize myself and I am happy, I am and will be home.”
The undeniable vocal power of the Alcoyan woman spreads its wings with forcefulness and sensitivity at the same time and it is enveloped in this case by the production and arrangements of Blai Antoni Vañó and Héctor Tirado, the latter has also been in charge of the guitars. Pachi García Alis (Alis Records) has been in charge of mixing and mastering this work. In addition, Jorge Molina on bass, Adrián Perales on drums and Adrià Sempere as recording technician complete the cast of a recording that they carried out largely at the IVAM CADA art center in Alcoi. This new work by Neus Ferri is accompanied by images by Irene Bernad and Alba Garcia and the graphic design by Koi Samsa.
